How To Make Your Own Leprechaun Trap Using The Free Printable Kit

Use the link near the end of the post to download and print your free printable leprechaun trap.

I recommend printing onto cardstock or posterboard for the best results.

Cut out the elements you want to use to catch the pesky leprechaun.

Fold the main part of the trap on the dotted lines to make what looks like a fast food burger box.

Use glue or tape to hold the sections in place.

Use the other printables to decorate your leprechaun trap.

Prop the lid open at the front of the box with a straw, skewer or popsicle stick.  You can even use a pen or pencil if you don’t have any of those items handy.

This is how you will catch the leprechaun.

The rainbow path pieces can be glued or taped together to lead the leprechaun to your trap.

If you’d like to have some printable signs for your leprechaun trap, I have 12 free printable signs that will help you catch a leprechaun by leading him to pots of gold and straight into your trap. Some of the signs that are included are: FREE GOLD COINS, WELCOME LEPRECHAUN, and END OF THE RAINBOW MOTEL.

We all know leprechauns are attracted to shiny things. Place the printed gold coins or chocolate coins inside of the box to lure in the leprechaun and your trap is set!

You can use whatever household items you have that would work to make your DIY leprechaun trap awesome.  Let your kids come up with some ideas as a critical thinking exercise.

Even small children can make this fun craft.
