No, I don’t mean you should throw raw eggs at your neighbor’s house!

This is a fun Easter game you can keep going throughout your neighborhood or friend group.

You leave a fun treat for your friend or neighbor and leave the You’ve Been Egged sign on their door. Once they find their treat, they keep it going by doing the same for one of their friends or neighbors.

It’s kind of a pay it forward type of thing.

This is a fun way to make someone feel special around Easter.

This little game actually reminds me of Secret Santa at Christmastime.

Ideas To Use The You’ve Been Egged Printables

I’ve made two different versions of the You’ve Been Egged free printable sign.

You’ve Been Egged Ideas At Home

The first one you can use if you want to hide eggs around a neighbor or friend’s yard. It says that there are 12 eggs hidden so they know how many eggs they need to find.

You’ll find ideas of what to put in your eggs at the end of the post if you need some inspiration.

The other version of the You’ve Been Egged sign is great if you just want to leave an Easter basket by the door or some other treat without them having to hunt for anything.

I’ve made both of these You’ve Been Egged printables to hang on a door knob so you don’t have to worry about ruining someone’s paint on their door with tape.

You’ve Been Egged Long Distance Surprise

If you want to use it to send a special You’ve Been Egged package to someone in the mail, you can simply cut off the part between the bunny ears that makes it a door hanger and place it inside your package.

I’m planning to do this for my family that lives in Phoenix this year as a cute Easter surprise. I’ll find some fun treats to put in the box and add in the You’ve Been Egged printable so they keep it going.

You’ve Been Egged At Work

This is also a fun game to play at the office to brighten someone’s day.

Just hang the You’ve Been Egged sign somewhere on their desk and you can either hide eggs around their office or cubicle or just leave them a nice treat on their desk.

How To Print The You’ve Been Egged Signs

To print out the You’ve Been Egged signs, click the link of the one that you want to print out. A PDF file will open. From there you can use the icons in the top right corner to download or print.

Then just cut around the shape and the space in between the ears to make it a door hanger and you have an adorable You’ve Been Egged printable.

If your neighbor or friend doesn’t have a door knob you can slide this on, cut one side of the door hanger part by one of the ears so you can open it up to slip around any type of door handle.

I recommend printing the You’ve Been Egged door hanger on cardstock so it will be nice and sturdy and stay on the door knob.

You’ve Been Egged Sign

This You’ve Been Egged sign is perfect if your neighbor or friend has kids and you want to do an Easter egg hunt for your You’ve Been Egged game.

The door hanger says that you’ve hidden 12 eggs.

If you have kids, they’ll have fun hiding the eggs too!

You can do this any time during the Easter season or even the night before Easter so they find it on Easter morning.

Just be careful if you put any chocolate in your eggs that it isn’t so warm that it will melt.

When I lived in Phoenix it was impossible to ever use chocolate for our Easter egg hunts because it’s so warm there by Easter.

If you want to surprise your own kids on Easter morning, these printable letters from the Easter Bunny and Easter Bunny footprint stencil will make it magical.

Your kids will love finding the Easter Bunny’s footprints leading to their Easter basket where there’s a letter just for them from the Easter Bunny himself.
