EASY Coconut Bird Nest Dessert

Save it on Pinterest!

These coconut bird nest desserts are the perfect no-bake finger food for an Easter party or classroom treats to celebrate spring or Easter.

I make these edible nests every year to share with family and friends around Easter and they always get rave reviews.

I made these with white chocolate because I just love the creamy, milky taste, but you could also substitute milk chocolate, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate if you prefer.

These are super easy and quick to make in about 15 minutes. So let’s get started!

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make The Coconut Bird Nest Dessert

  • 4 cups Shredded Coconut divided
  • 14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 3 ounces White Chocolate melted
  • Mini Chocolate Eggs such as Cadbury Mini Eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups Coconut Flour

How To Make The White Chocolate Bird Nests

In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of shredded coconut, 1 cup of coconut flour, the sweetened condensed milk, and the melted white chocolate.
Stir the mixture thoroughly until all the ingredients are evenly
incorporated and a sticky, cohesive dough forms.

Place the remaining 1 cup of shredded coconut and 1/3 cup of coconut flour in a separate shallow bowl. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out
portions of the coconut mixture, approximately 1 to 1.5
tablespoons each. Roll each portion between your palms to form
smooth, round balls.

Roll each coconut ball in the reserved shredded coconut and coconut flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated for a textured, nest-like appearance.

Using the back of a teaspoon (or your thumb), gently press an
indentation into the center of each ball to create the appearance
of a nest. Arrange the nests on a parchment-lined baking sheet or
tray.

Melt the white chocolate melts for 30 second intervals in the microwave, stirring between each interval until it is melted and smooth.

Spoon a small amount of white chocolate into the nests and place
three mini chocolate eggs in the center indentation of each nest.
Gently press the eggs into place to ensure they stay secure.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the
refrigerator for up to 3 days.
