If you’re looking to make someone’s birthday special, these cute free printable Happy Birthday banners are an easy way to decorate for a birthday, even if it’s last-minute.
I created these printable Happy Birthday letters to celebrate the birthdays in my preschool classroom, but I’ve also used them for my boyfriend’s birthday as well as other family members’ birthday celebrations.
These free printable birthday banners are an easy way to decorate for a birthday at the office, too.

How To Print and Hang The Happy Birthday Banners
- Click the link or photo for the birthday banner you want to print.
- A PDF file will open. I share my free files through Google Drive. If you have trouble opening the file and you’re on a school network, you may need to try from a different network, as most schools block this type of file sharing.
- Use the icons in the top right corner to print or download to your device.
- For the best results, print onto white cardstock. This will keep the banner pieces sturdy so they hang well.
- Punch two holes at the top of each banner piece for the string to go through.
- Lace your string through the holes of the banner pieces in order. Jute, yarn, or thin ribbon work great for these Happy Birthday letters.
- Hang by each end of the string wherever you want your birthday banner.
