Pin The Tail On The Donkey Game Printable
One of my favorite childhood memories at birthday parties was playing Pin The Tail On The Donkey.
It’s a classic party game that’s been played for years. To keep the tradition going I created this cute Pin The Tail On The Donkey game printable.
I made this a large Pin The Tail On The Donkey game so you can have it printed at a print shop in a poster size. This printable is sized at 25.5″ x 33″. You can also print on your regular printer at home in 8.5″ x 11″ with the same file.
I don’t recommend printing any larger than 25.5″ x 33″ inches or your game images may turn out grainy.
How To Print The Pin The Tail On The Donkey Game Printables
- The donkey poster and tails are separate files so you can print just one donkey and multiple tails to fit the amount of party guests you have.
- There are 32 tails in the PDF file. If you need more, print more than one copy.
- If you’d like this in a 25.5″ x 33″ poster, take the file on a USB drive to a print shop and they can print the larger size for you. Places like Staples and Kinkos can do this for you as well as online printers like Vistaprint.
- If you just want to print on your printer at home, download the file and print as you normally would.
- I recommend printing on white cardstock for the best results.
- Remember to print the tails and the donkey poster in the same size so the tails fit the donkey.

- The first player puts on the blindfold and holds their donkey tail with sticky tape on the back. (No peeking!)
- Someone spins the player around a few times to get them good and dizzy and then stops them in the direction pointing toward the pin the tail on the donkey poster.

- Their turn is over and the next player gets blindfolded and spun to take a shot at getting the tail on the donkey.
- Each child takes a turn until everyone has gone.
