Have you ever bought something and been in complete shock at the value it offered for the price?
I hasn’t happened to me very many times in my life.
When I was trying to start a blog, I was struggling to figure out how to do the simplest things, consulting YouTube and Google for answers and only getting little snippets of information that didn’t completely answer my questions. I was beyond frustrated to say the least.
I was lucky enough to stumble upon a course that was affordable and taught me every single thing I needed to know to get my blog up and running and I am so thankful! After I finished the course and went through the steps to get my blog started, I just sat there in awe of how much value was in this course. I haven’t been blogging long enough to give you all the answers to your questions about how to start a blog, but I can direct you to the course that changed my blogging life forever! So, I’m going to tell you all about it so you can see if it might be what you’re looking for to make your blogging experience easier too.
This post does contain affiliate links, but I would never recommend something I don’t truly believe in. This course changed my blog and how I look at blogging. So I’m sharing in hopes to help fellow newbie bloggers. You can see my disclosure here .
Building A Framework has 9 modules and a bonus section. The videos are pretty short and break each topic down into easy to understand segments. Technical videos show you exactly how to set it all up as you go along.
Finding your niche, creating your concept and branding your blog are some of the most important things for anyone wanting to start a blog. It’s all covered very thoroughly with an entire module dedicated to just that. Did I mention there are worksheets that go along with each module to help you brainstorm and keep track of everything?!
Setting up the technical part of your blog is covered in the next module. I will say that what they cover uses the Genesis Framework and a child theme. I had bought a premium WordPress theme prior to buying the course and I was really struggling to get it to look and act how I wanted it to. After going through this course and seeing how simple the Genesis Framework makes it to set up your blog, I ended up buying the Genesis Framework and Pretty Chic child theme from Pretty Darn Cute Design. It was the best decision I’ve made other than buying the course. I was able to set up my entire blog in less than two days! I had been struggling for weeks with the WordPress theme. That’s just my experience. I’m not bashing WordPress themes by any means. It just wasn’t working out for me being that I had no idea what I was doing. It was really refreshing after all of my struggling to have someone show me exactly what plugins to use to accomplish what I was trying to accomplish and how they work.
You’re also shown how to get things set up to grow your email list. Every question I had in my mind about this topic was covered in the module from technical set up to what to offer as an opt-in, how to make an opt-in and automate it.
Content is king! Guess what! They tell you all about how to create content, how to use SEO, and simple photography tips. Plus, how to build relationships with other bloggers. Blogging is all about community and building friendships. You’ll learn how to do that. Also, how to build your brand and promote your blog on the major social media platforms is a huge part of this course. If you want to monetize your blog, that is covered too! There are quite a few ways to do this and she goes through step by step how to get into each one. There’s also information about the business side of blogging in the way of staying organized, taxes, etc.
I really hope this has been helpful. I can’t say enough good things Building A Framework! It’s rare that I find something that I love so much that I want to shout it from the rooftops. I know my blog would not be where it is today if I hadn’t found this course. I would probably still be staring at my computer screen trying to figure out how to get my email form embedded or something. I just want you to know it does not have to be hard to start a blog. If you’re tired of struggling with it or you’re new to blogging, you should definitely check this course out!
