When I was a kid I LOVED coloring Easter eggs! Ok, maybe I still do, but that’s besides the point 😂. I always wanted to color tons of eggs. I’m sure you know the problem with that…you end up with a million boiled eggs. I don’t know about you, but I can only eat so many boiled eggs before I’m burnt out.
I have never liked deviled eggs until I went to a party at a friend’s house one time. Her grandmother had made deviled eggs and they were so good! I had to ask for the recipe. I’ve tweaked it a little over the years, but the ingredients are still the same as the recipe she gave me. So I wanted to share with you my favorite deviled egg recipe that will make you like deviled eggs even if you never have before. It’s very simple to make and the taste is phenomenal.
There are tiny pieces of minced celery and onion which give it these little bits of crunch and a tiny flavor burst. The key is to mince those up as small as you can so they’re not too chunky. Also, using an electric mixer to mix the filling will make it really smooth and fluffy.
These don’t last more than a day around our house when I make them. We eat them as a quick snack and for breakfast too. Easy to grab and go. They also make a great appetizer on Easter so you can get rid of all of those colored eggs your kids made!
