As some of you may know, I have recently lost 50 pounds so I think it’s appropriate that I start sharing some healthy recipes that I love. This healthy recipe I’m sharing today is one we really love in our house. It’s simple, fast and the whole family will love it. Perfect for those nights when you get home from work late and want a healthy, delicious dinner but don’t have the energy to make a big meal.
One of my favorite things is experimenting with new flavors. The combination of the hummus with the onions that sweeten a little in the oven, combined with the olives and juicy tomatoes, and flavorful chicken are just the perfect flavors on your taste buds.
This Healthy Chicken Hummus Pita Pizza is one of my absolute favorite recipes, healthy or not. I love hummus with a good pita bread! You could also make this gluten free if you use a gluten free pizza crust. It still tastes delicious that way 😊.
Here’s how you do it!
One of the most important parts of making this dish flavorful and delicious is well seasoned chicken. You can get my Quick & Easy Seasoning Printable Cheat Sheet below for 8 delicious seasoning blends that will make your dishes super flavorful.
I like to cook some chicken up at the beginning of the week so I have it in the refrigerator to snack on or throw together a quick meal. You could also use rotisserie chicken if you don’t feel like making your own or don’t have any already cooked chicken on hand.
I use black olives on mine, but you can also use Greek olives if you enjoy those more.
You’re going to cook this just like you would cook a pizza using your pita as your ready made crust.
Spread the hummus on top like you would pizza sauce, add the other toppings and bake.
It’s a super delicious healthy recipe that you’ll want to make again and again. I love meals that only take 15 minutes to make and taste like they took longer.
